With Our Team
The Camp Ekon staff community is comprised of approximately forty members.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Fr. John Sullivan, SJ is from Saint John, N.B., and is currently the Pastor at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in downtown Toronto.
Fr. John was ordained in April 2007 and since then has been the Executive Director of Camp Ekon.

CAMP DIRECTOR
Meg Doherty is the Director of Camp Ekon. She has been associated with Camp Ekon since 1990.
Meg was born and raised in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, where she attended the Jesuit High School, Gonzaga. It was there that Meg learned of Camp Ekon and attended the Leadership In Training program in 1990. Meg spent the following four summers on staff at Camp Ekon. Since then, she has maintained strong ties with Camp Ekon and was a member of the Board of Directors for four years.
Meg completed her degree in Recreation Management at Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. Prior to becoming the Camp Director, she spent ten years working with youth in St. John’s and Toronto. Meg has served as the Camp Director at Ekon since 2006.

SENIOR STAFF
The senior staff work behind the scenes to ensure that camp runs smoothly. Each senior staff member is responsible for a different area of camp. The senior staff are also role models for the younger staff members

COUNSELLING STAFF
Counseling staff work directly with the campers. The counseling staff are generally ages 17-19, and are responsible for supervising campers during free time, teaching instructions, leading activities, and creating the afternoon and evening programs.
